Mo. Massimo Lambertini

General director

Didactic manager of the operatic repertoire and of the training of accompanying pianists and stage masters

Massimo Lambertini graduated with full marks at the conservatory “G.B. Martini ”in Bologna. He is a brilliant solo pianist and conductor who has been a guest conductor in the most important opera houses in Italy and abroad. After polishing his technique with Carlo Maria Giulini, Lambertini's brilliant international career as a conductor for symphonies and operas really took off.

He was a long term musical director of Latvian Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra in Riga, and was appointed musical director of the Alpen Adria Kammerphilarmonie (Austria). He worked as the preparatory teacher and assistant director of the new Luigi Cherubini Youth Symphony Orchestra in cooperation with the legendary Riccardo Muti as musical director.

Lambertini has been a guest conductor of the Mikkeli City Orchestra (Finland). He has guest conducted the Prague Symphony, the Lithuanian State Symphony, the Tallinn Philharmonic Orchestra, the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, the I Pomeriggi Musicali Symphony Orchestra, the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of the Province of Bari, the Orchestra of the Olympic Theater of Vicenza and many others.

He has been invited by the some of the most important Italian and foreign institutions and theaters in the USA, Canada, Czech Republic, Brazil, Chile, Russia, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Georgia, Portugal, France, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Egypt, Germany, Holland, Spain, Malta, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Turkey and Slovenia.

He has recorded for the national public broadcasting company of Italy and other countries, and for recording companies in several foreign cities, including New York and Tokyo.

Lambertini and his family currently live in Trentino, where he teaches piano at the Bonporti Conservatory of Music in Trento. He is the general director and permanent faculty of the Belcanto Academy of Trentino. The family has a second home in Finland, where Lambertini continues to work as assistant artistic director and répétiteur of the Belcanto Academy of Finland.

Our artistic director and voice teacher, soprano Francesca Micarelli is a graduate of the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan with full marks and honors who also has a Diploma from the Academy of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.

Micarelli is a winner and finalist of many opera competitions. She began intense singing activity very young and collaborated with conductors such as Muti, Oren, Kovachev, Rizzi Brignoli, and directors like Zeffirelli, Vick, Tiezzi, De Bosio.

She has been cast on the scenes of the most important theaters in Italy such as: Teatro alla Scala, Arena di Verona, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Teatro Regio in Turin, Teatro Nuovo in Florence, Teatro Verdi in Trieste and many others, debuting many roles such as Violetta in La Traviata, Lucia in Lucia di lammermoor, Mimì and Musetta in Boheme etc. 

Micarelli has numerous recordings including Nabucco with Placido Domingo in 2013 and Carmen under the direction of Zeffirelli in 2014 from the Verona Arena.

In addition to her singing career in Italy and abroad, Francesca has specialized in artistic vocology at the University of Bologna under the guidance of Doctor Franco Fussi and in clinical vocology in Milan under the guidance of Doctor Silvia Magnani. She has studied stage directing and directed many opera productions.

She has taught voice students in Finland since 2013, and soon after also at the Belcanto Academy in Trentino, Italy, where she also gives lectures and holds seminars for the students.
